Anyone who knows me, knows that I play poker a lot. Of course, in Japan the only options I have are online play and local tournaments around the Tokyo area, which are basically drunken donkfests with no real chances at winning anything worthwhile since gambling for money is illegal in Japan.
Well, bitching about the lack of real poker in Japan is not the reason for writing this post. The launch of my new poker blog, “The Pokerist” is. I’ve tried in the past to maintain a poker blog, but found myself too busy to regularly add content. Another thing I failed to do in the past with my previous poker blog was to social network with other poker enthusiasts. This time, I hope to do a bit of that. Also, what I did with my previous blog was track my stats and post about my performance at the online tables (I never had a blog when I played live in casinos back in the States). This time around, I’m not planning to use my poker blog solely as an online poker diary, so hopefully it’ll attract more readers.
The Pokerist is up and running now, but at this point the content is sparse. I’ll try to add to it regularly and keep in touch with other poker bloggers. If you’re interested in poker and have a poker blog (Not sure very many people who’ll read this post are and do), please visit The Pokerist and drop a comment and a link to your site.
Cheers!
